The Innovation & Energy Department of the South Tyrolean Farmers’ Association is your first point of contact. It supports female and male farmers on their path into the future, inspires them, and highlights new approaches and opportunities.
With these services, the SBB Innovation & Energy Department supports interested parties with questions about energy and energy efficiency, as well as the related business models:
on the topics of biomass and biogas, photovoltaics and solar thermal energy, heat pumps, and hydropower
identification of measures to increase energy efficiency

“Compost di Vino” – In the ERDF-funded research and development project Compost di Vino, the innovative compost heat technology is being validated along the wine supply chain. The aim is to use this technology to meet heating, waste recovery and fertilization needs at winegrowing farms while integrating it into the nutrient cycle. The project is implemented in cooperation with the partners Biologik Systems, Eurac Research, Laimburg Research Centre, the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and Castel Salegg Winery.
